A Guide to Installing Custom Roms

Firstly! safety,safety is paramount when Rooting. When you root your phone and install a new ROM,the fact that you could easily Break your expensive Smartphone if you do something wrong in what is called Bricking the phone,thank god though that there are ways to reverse such mistakes. 


The good well tested approach to installing new ROMs to an Android is by installing the ROM Manager off the Android Market. Once you do make sure to choose Flash ClockworkMod Recovery from the menu before you do anything else as this adds the custom recovery needed for the Application to work properly.
When you go to install a ROM, you'll see the pre-installation pop-up. Always select backup existing ROM, you should also wipe data and cache for the installation to work correctly.

Once this is achieved then wait while the phone reboots ,this can take up to 30 minutes!
