A Guide to Android Rooting



Ok so First off I am going to cover The following phones: The HTC Desire HD as its my current Phone, I am due for a upgrade soon, and seeing as its one of the best Supported of all Android phones to date in terms of Developers.The HTC one X as it is a Flagship phone for HTC,The Samsung Galaxy S3 as its Samsung's Flagship Phone,And no before somebody shouts  DROID DNA or Note 2 ,I will not be covering Phablets as of yet!

If you can grasp the concepts I will be talking about here with regards to these Phones then following Ye old "Google , Read , do" will serve you well.

In later posts I will be covering topics such as Custom Lauchers, Gaining Root ,Custom Roms,and of course How Android Software Iterations work and what they mean!



Lets Start off with the Samsung Galaxy S3 shall we?



First Off,Its specifications on a general note are 4.8' 720p Display,1.4 GHz Quad core processor,and a nice 1 gig of glories Ram although the LTE version Features 2 gigs.Camera specs, Storage and connectivity are largely irrelevant in regard to Rooting with most handsets although there are exceptions such as the HTC Wildfire.With the above specifications and the fact that the device comes preloaded with Android 4.0.3 ,  the Samsung Galaxy S3 is a Top High end Flagship phone with Great rooting possibilities !

Now to Root! There are options for new users out there!

Now we shall Cover the HTC Desire HD! The specs for this device are: A single core 1 GHz processor and  768mb of Ram and a NON HD Screen,however this keep in mind was a Device Published in 2010 Therefore it shall be considered Legacy. The device comes preloaded with Android 2.3.6

And Finally! The HTC one X This Device features a 720p Screen with 1.5 GHz Processor and a full Gig of Ram to boot.The Screen on this Device is widely acknowledged as being spectacular, and the device comes preloaded with Android 4.0.3
